FIFA 18 Ultimate Team is addictive but it can become disheartening when you have to try a beat a team full of team of the weeks.
The popularity of the Premier League means many of their players are overpriced on FUT. However, you don’t have to break the bank to make a good Premier League team.
We’ve done the hard work for you and found the five best hidden gems on FIFA 18 who play in the Prem and still cost under 1,000 coins.
Asmir Begovic: 82
While attacking is undoubtedly the funnest part of Ultimate Team, you always want a safe pair of hands in between the posts.
While David De Gea will set you back around 200k, Begovic is dirt cheap and feels a lot better in-game than an 82 overall.
His 6’6″ stature means he’ll reach most shots and with 81 handling he’ll catch a lot of those as well.
Davinson Sanchez: 81
In real life, Sanchez cost a fortune at £41m but on FIFA he’ll only set you back abou 900 coins.
And it will be the best money you have ever spent, not only is he a phenomenal athlete but all of his defensive stats are superb.
Most defenders wish they had his 71 pace and with his 86 strength, most of your opposition’s strikers will wish he wasn’t playing. And even if strikers can match him for strength, his 82 stand tackling and 85 slide tackling means he’ll still probably win the ball back.
Jose Holebas: 78
Despite his rating of just 78, Holebas is a brilliant left back to use in FIFA 18. At 33-years-old he still has 80 pace which is more than enough to bomb down the wing.
Holebas shines in forward positions and with 85 shot power he could score some absolute screamers for you.
He’s still solid in defence with 81 slide tackling being a particular highlight. Last season he equalled the record for most yellow cards in a Premier League season with 14, deservedly earning him 89 aggression in-game. He’ll battle for every inch in your matches.
Manuel Lanzini: 81
Lanzini was one of the standout players for West Ham last season and now he could be the standout player in your budget Prem team.
His 82 pace and 86 dribbling means he feels dangerous as soon as he’s on the ball. Pair that with his four star weak-foot and four star skill moves and you have a dream of a player.
His 80 short passing as well means he’ll easily find your forwards with a through ball. It’s hard to not play through Lanzini when he’s on the pitch.
Michail Antonio: 80
EA Sports have made Michael Antonio made into a striker for FIFA 18 and it’s completely overpowered.
With 82 acceleration and 87 sprint speed he’s zooms past most players and anyone who does get close to him will have to deal with his 86 strength.
Like his teammate Lanzini, his four star skill moves and weak-foot means he can create an opportunity out of anything. Plus, with 84 jumping and 88 heading, he is just as lethal in the air.
